Looking back on my life as an artist I could have experimented more at art school, this is what fellow students did. For some reason my mind has been interested in opposites. You were a minority if you painted realistically. Thankfully most of the tutors were open to most forms of art.

Since 2017 I have been experimenting with paint.

A good person to be inspired by is Cezanne. A father of modern painting.

Its can be fun to experiment, always trying different techniques and mediums to not feel complacent while painting.

I loved how Cezanne applied paint and opened the picture plane up in paintings. Cezanne laid different tones and colours of paint next to each other to construct images. Examples paintings 1 and 2.
