Hundertwasser
Hundertwasser was an artist and architect from Austria and later New Zealand. He was a pioneer of the sustainable movement, quoted in saying “Straight lines are godless“.
He designed buildings to incorporate trees with city buildings, designing waste management systems, making his own clothes, growing plants on rooftops and many other inventions.
Hundertwasser was inspired by Gaudi, Christian Hunziker and others in their love of the organic.
I was lucky enough to visit one of his creations, The Municipal Residential Building, the second most visited structure in Vienna.
In the foyer of the building you noticed occasional swishing noises. It wasn’t till I walked around and realised what it was. The floor wasn’t flat, and your feet would brush against the floor making you feel like you were walking around a cave or natural path. Like nature, the buildings are natural and unpredictable.
Instead of making a plan for the entire building he empowered each tiler, builder, brick layer to design each part they work on. This this empowered the craftsperson making the building unique and work together as a whole. Images of Hundertwasser work is at https://www.instagram.com/hundertwasserbr/

Women and Man
Being interested in opposites (two examples above and more images are at https://www.instagram.com/theothersideetc/)I started doing sketches of buildings and trees etc.
I curved the buildings lines and straightened the foliage or trees curves.
Before and after examples below.
